Salemi International Jazz Academy Back in September 2009 Rich Pulin contacted SAlemi to organise the Salemi International Jazz Festival. Here is an update on progress over the last 3 months. Rich Pulin is from Los Angeles, he is a passionate Jazz player and president of Vizjaz. He visited Salemi in October and presented his vision of Jazz in Salemi to local council members. Whilst touring Salemi he found the time to be interviewed by the local press, Giornale di Sicilia, in front of the old church in Piazza Alicia.

in Salemi providing a base for international and national students to study Jazz. MIPC are assisting Mr Pulin in negotiations with Salemi council. Recently a building has been identified in Salemi as the potential future base of the Salemi Jazz Academy. International artists would visit Salemi and participate in the Academy. Jazz performances will be seen in the piazzas of Salemi and an annual Salemi International Jazz Festival will be organised by the Academy.
