Salemi Street Artists Festival : Terremoto Artistico
Sabato 25th July – Sunday 26th July 2009
Salemi invites you to enjoy the last weekend of July amongst
local and international artists and street entertainers. After a successful
festival last year the annual “Terremoto
Artistico” returns with art exhibitions, street performances, sculptures,
painters and poets.
The street artists will gather in the Piazza dei Martiri di
Ungheria near the entrance of the old historic town of Salemi on Saturday 25th
at 16:00 where they will perform in a live workshop.
Later in the evening at 22:00 the festival continues with music
by DJ “make love not war”.
On Sunday 26th the festival transfers to Piazza
Alicia, the main historic square of Salemi, where an exhibition of all the
artistic works created in the workshop will be on display.
You too can participate in the festival by contacting
Leonardo Lombardo the organiser. Please bring your paint brushes, juggling
equipment, poetry, stone and any other tools you need to work with.
MIPC says “This may
not quite be the famous street festival of Ferrara, but it’s in the making”.
